First Day Diving Haddhunmathi Atoll

Check-out dive on the house reef in front of the Laamu Six Sense Resort

The opportunity presented itself and allowed me to finally make it to the Maldives. The Maldives is a group of islands in the middle of the Indian Ocean. There are about 26 atolls that are in the Republic of the Maldives. I spent two weeks on an atoll locally called Haddhunmathi or Laamu Atoll (to foreigners).

The Atoll is home to the Six Senses Resort. In the next couple of weeks, I will provide a review of this luxury resort. However, today I wanted to share what I saw on my first two dives on the house reef of the resort.

The house reef is filled with beautiful coral boomies which are surround by a ton of small fish. There is also a Manta cleaning station about 5 minutes away but we were experiencing a little weather in the afternoons. So, we didn’t get to see a Manta until day three or four.
