Translucent jellyfish in the blue ocean

Translucent Marine Life

Many translucent creatures thrive in the nutrient-rich waters of Mexico. Here is a sample of underwater life from dives sites in Cabo Pulmo and Gordon Banks.

There was a lot of plankton in the water allowing marine creatures to openly feed during the day. The creatures in this video did not seem to mind scuba divers.

I’m not sure if these jellyfish had the ability to sting. I forgot to ask the dive guide.

Scuba diving was provided by Sea Creatures out of Cabo.

I captured images in this video with a Panasonic GH5 and 14-42 lens in a Nauticam housing. Camera and underwater housing details can be found here.
