Off the Pacific coast of Mexico, the Revillagigedo Islands host many species of shark.
Whitetip Reef Sharks are often found huddled together along ocean walls. Scientist believe this might provide protection from larger predators.
The sharks are unbothered by Lobster and/or human presence as they rest.
On this dive, we observed around 20 to 30 sharks resting on ledges along ocean pinnacle walls.

This is really fascinating!
I wonder if they have a shark or two on guard duty.
I’m not sure if one shark is watch out but if you accidentally disturb one then they all react and swim away.
Sensitive sleepers or half sleeping mode?
I do not think they full sleep like humans. So, I would describe it as half sleeping. If you get too close they will definitely react.
