FROM THE DEPTHS

Most people think of tiger sharks as invincible apex predators. But off the coast of Fuvahmulah, I found a different story. While exploring the reefs in Grand Cayman, I ran into this member of the grouper family. The Coney (Cephalopholis fulva) is known for its incredible color variations, but this reddish-brown phase is a classic look.
