10 Cool Underwater Critters in Dauin | Philippines

I spent a week scuba diving off the coast of Dauin and Apo Island in the Philippines 🇵🇭. We observed so many different creatures during the week, it was really an amazing experience. Below are my favorite underwater images from the week. Under the pictures, I listed the common and scientific names. I’ll post video of my dives in the next few weeks.

Diving and lodging was provided by the Atmosphere Resort. And I took these images with a Sealife Camera.

FROM THE DEPTHS

Tucked inside this cavern in the Seychelles, this whitetip reef shark moved in slow circles while snappers and fusiliers held their ground nearby. No sudden strikes. No chaos. Just a reminder that even one of the reef’s most efficient predators spends part of the day in low gear. Built like a starfish. Shaped like a tank.

    Nice pics. I gather you’re happy with the SeaLife? Did the wunderpus give you a show?

      I like the Sealife DC2000 for stills. However, I’m pushing it to its limits when I’m in Super Macro mode. As I get more comfortable shoot outside of auto modes. I’m looking at camera’s beyond the point and shoot segment. I would definitely recommend it as a good entry-level camera when factoring usability and price.
