We arrived at the on-premise dive shop at Waidroka Bay Resort and were told our first dives would be at a dive site called “Shark Reef.”
Divers from around the world visit Fiji to dive with up to 8 different species of sharks. Mostly Bull Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks, Blacktip Reef Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Lemon Sharks, and Grey Reef Sharks. The dive guide said there is a 30% chance of seeing a Tiger Shark.
After a short boat ride, we reached the dive site. The captain dropped the anchor and shouted, “the Tiger Shark is here!”
Visibility was not that great. However, I captured a few moments when the Tiger Shark came in closer to us.
