Maputo Radisson Blu Hotel

Time-Lapse Balcony View From Mozambique

,

Perched in the newer tower of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Maputo, Mozambique’s vibrant capital, I captured a mesmerizing nighttime time-lapse. From my vantage point on the 16th or 17th floor, the bustling ocean cityscape unfolded in a kaleidoscope of twinkling lights mirrored in the tranquil Indian Ocean.

Using a GoPro Hero 11, I employed time-lapse photography, where frames are captured at a lower frequency than playback. When these individual images are stitched into a video clip and accelerated, the result is a hypnotic effect of time elapsing rapidly. Tail lights streaked through the nocturnal scenery, transforming the ordinary flow of traffic into vibrant light trails dancing across the urban landscape.

Thanks! I really wanted to capture sunset but I didn’t leave the hotel pool bar in time to set up. LOL! Next time!
