Here are a few images taken by my friend and photographer Ron Nicolaysen. As you can see below, during the week of diving around the seal lion colony in Mexico, we had some interesting and unprovoked interaction with several sea lions.
My new buddy. Hitchhiking. Providing camera guidance. Biting camera gear. Playing with a diver. Divers are intriguing. Play with bubbles. Posing for the camera. Checking out my fins.
In case you missed my earlier post. Here are a few underwater video clips I took around the same time. I’m still working on a highlights video edit. Hopefully, I’ll have it posted soon.
Ah watching divers return to the underwater world is so exiting! Cannot wait to be back myself! 👏
I’m excited to return to dive sites (hopefully) next year and see how fish populations have improved.
These are amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Amazing creatures. We loved snorkelling with them in Sea of Cortez near La Paz. Where was this?
Happy Holidays! These photos were take at Los Islotes, a tiny island off the coast of La Paz. The sea Lion colony is about 45-60mins from the main area of La Paz by boat.
That’s where I was too. Amazing place!
