I recently presented a black and white image of an Aeolid Nudibranch. Here’s another perspective in color. I love it’s natural purple color.
The image was captured along the north coast of Fiji.

Which image do you prefer color or black and white?

I prefer the color image. That shade of purple on a living creature is always fantastic.

I prefer the color because of the extraordinary color it is, amazing!

They are incredibly interesting tiny animals. I love when I spot them on dives.

Thanks! I was leaning to the b&w image and I see most people like the color version.

Most definitely the brilliantly colored one. Such a thing most people will never see with their own eyes. Lovely!! 😊

They blend into the reefs so well – sometimes I dive right over them.
When I do find them, I’m always excited!

Definitely like the color version best! I like b&w on high contrast images with lots of shading, but this is such a rich mix of purples and violets it would be a shame not to see them!

Nudibranch’s are such great subjects and there are so many different profiles to capture. This was definitely a hard decision to make because I like both the color and b&w perspectives. I’m glad you like the color version!

Normally b&w because is calm and holds some mystery, but it seems that nowadays I feel attracted by the playfulness and the extravagance of colour

I’m still conflicted about which I like the most. However, I can’t deny that the purple pops.
