WordPress has created another fun challenge to begin the year. Each and every day during the month of January, WordPress posts a writing prompt to inspire bloggers and writers. One of the challenges this week is to showcase your favorite photo, here’s my contribution.

I shot this image with a Sealife DC2000 point and shoot underwater camera. I love this image because the Hermit Crab was moving along the reef and just stopped to allow me to take pictures.

I’m always delighted when I find a Peacock Mantis Shrimp. I love their olive tank to dark green bodies, orangish yellow to green antennal scales boarded with red, blue eye stalks, and dark blotches on the front side of carapace.
