I was overwhelmed with happiness when I saw a Humpback Whale breach just a few feet away.

Ethereal.I just saw two fin back whales, mom and bay, swim very close to our boat leisurely for a long while in The Santa Barbara Channel off Southern California.

We had the fortune of seeing humpbacks (from the surface) in Turks and Caicos, but they never breached. That must have been amazing to see from underneath.

This was my first time getting so close to any whales. It was such a great experience. I have a few more clips from the boat, but I need to find time to edits those in the next few weeks.
