Nightlapse Video From Port Elizabeth, Bequia

Bequia is the second-largest island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It’s about 9 miles from Kingston in Saint Vincent.

The island is super safe and quiet. I came to the island to scuba dive, of course. By happenstance, none of the hotel rooms near the dive shops and in the port were available. Instead of canceling this leg of the trip, I decide to select a villa on the high point of the mountain.

I lodged at The Lookout which is a two-apartment villa. The cost for the few days I was there was amazingly low. I was assigned a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living/dining room, and a balcony with an unobstructed view of the port.

In the video above, I attached my Gopro Here 8 to the balcony, sat back, and drank a few local beers – Hairoun.

As you can imagine, sitting on the balcony overlooking the bay was so relaxing at night.

The walk from the Villa to the beach was about 15 minutes, and 30 minutes to the beachfront restaurants. At night, there is not much light pollution. So, as you walk back to the villa along the beach, there are areas of the path that are pitch black. The Villa operators supplied small flashlights to take with me in the evenings. However, I used the light on my iPhone which worked perfectly.

And just like that, I’m flying back over New York City.
