Sailor’s Eyeball (Valonia ventricosa): The World’s Largest Single-Celled Organism

The Valonia ventricosa, known as bubble algae, is a green algae species in the phylum Chlorophyta, prevalent in tropical and subtropical oceans. The author filmed this unique algae off Sint Eustatius’ coast, using a Panasonic GH5 camera, and composed the accompanying music using Logic Pro X.
