I was talking with a friend today and of course we were talking about diving. I was asked about a cool moment and I immediately thought of this Ribbon Eel swimming through the water column.

That’s a fantastic story. I’ve never see an octopus that large in the wild. I’m adding the northwest to future dive list!
Apparently, the Northwest was one of Cousteau’s favorite dive spots. It helps to wear a dry suit, and the vis isn’t what you’d get in most warm water places, but there’s plenty to see in the right places.
Yeah… I couldn’t image diving up there without a drysuit.
