It has been estimated that Jellyfish have been around for millions of years. Jellyfish are found all over the world in both cold and warm, deep and shallow, and along coastal waters. Jellyfish do not have brains, hearts, bones or eyes. Some Jellyfish are able to use their tentacles to sting or paralyse their prey and/or protect themselves from some predators.

Jellyfish stings can be painful to humans and some species stings can even be deadly. Most stings occur when people accidentally touch a Jellyfish.
